Overview:
Manages the activities of the communications/voice services department on a daily basis at Mercy Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson hospital; oversees daily operations of departments ensuring staff are adequately trained and certified to perform their duties in compliance with hospital and department policy and procedures, and adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, writes and reviews performance evaluations. Interviews potential new hires; recommends; disciplinary action, hiring, promotions and transfers. Overseas the badge process at Mercy Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson; completes monthly bank reconciliation, manages warming center data and maintains and issues all department equipment.
Assists the Manager in coordinating and supervising the activities of the Voice Services, Safety and Security Dispatch, Maintenance Dispatch, and Transportation Department Dispatch. Responsible for the departments' performance during weekend coverage. Supervise approximately 12 to 15 co-workers and perform annual evaluations, as well as any counselings. Performs duties and respoinsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years management experience
- Required Education: Associates degree or equivalent years of experience
- Other: Excellent customer service and communications skills. Experience with multiple computer software systems
