Find your calling at Mercy! This position will oversee the daily functions of the Mercy Hospice Volunteer Program, and all volunteers. Under the supervision of leadership, this position will coordinate all of the Volunteer programs, including the interviewing, orientation, assignment, ongoing development and as needed counseling of volunteers.

This position develops and schedules events, training sessions and meetings for volunteers. Additionally, this position will develop new and innovative ways of utilizing volunteers within the Mercy Hospice program. This position will communicate with the extended hospice leadership team as well as the hospice IDG to share suggestions for volunteer use, encourage use of volunteers in established ways, and solicit ideas from others on how volunteers can best support the Mission and Values of Mercy within the Hospice department. Position Details:

Mercy Hospice Supervisor of Volunteer Services

Responsible for day to day operations of the Volunteer Program - overseeing, supervision of our dedicated Washington and Lincoln Hospice Volunteers and Program

Mon - Friday - 8a-4:30p: 2 days a week at our Lincoln Office & 3 days a week in Washington Office

Qualifications:

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:

- Proven superior customer service experience.

- Experience in coordinating volunteer services

- Supervisory experience.
Other:

- Knowledge of volunteer management practices

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Professional and courteous interaction with patients, visitors, co-workers and leaders.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with Mercy Hospice Programs.
