Remote Work: This position will primarily be on-site, but may be able to work remotely as approved by management.
Position qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work required, with a licensure as Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado preferred. Minimum of two (2) years experience as Social Services Director or in leadership role.
Job purpose:
Supervise hospital case managers/discharge planners, and therapists. Provide leadership in treatment approach, and assure regulatory compliance with social services department functions. Provide oversight for hospital milieu, groups, and daily schedule in conjunction with Director Nursing. Provide individual therapy, group therapy as requested. Serve as a member of hospital leadership team, and treatment teams. Close working relationship with Director of Nursing, hospital psychiatric care providers, and hospital Administrator. Patient population could include children, adults, individuals, and groups.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability (include materials and equipment directly used):
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external personnel.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to exercise frequent independent judgment and initiative.
• Ability to effectively assign, prioritize, and direct the work assignments and scheduling of those business staff reporting to this position.
• Ability to compose correspondence, reports, and personnel-related documents with little or no supervision.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Ability to travel from one office to another, or to other locations, to attend meetings or run errands. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental disorders. Possible potential for exposure to communicable disease.
