Job Description:

Position Summary

The Temporary Project Manager will support the Inpatient Rehab Unit (IRU) in preparation for the EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) Build and Education, aligning with the forthcoming Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This position is critical to ensure compliance with new CMS regulations and enhance our operational readiness.

Scope of Work

The Project Manager will work directly with our IRU Leadership, HIT EPIC analyst and IRU staff to:
  - Guide the EPIC EHR Build specifically tailored to IRF regulations and reporting requirements.
  - Develop and lead training programs to ensure staff proficiency with the new EPIC documentation requirements and changes to workflows.
  - Provide expertise on the RCD requirements to minimize claim denials and ensure smooth transitions in documentation.
  - Collaborate with the IRU Leadership to review and improve current processes, ensuring they meet CMS standards for RCD compliance.

Key deliverables will align with the EPIC build phases in coordination with Montage Health's EPIC analysts and RCD requirements, including phased EHR development, targeted staff training, and compliance checkpoints throughout the engagement period. This timeframe will allow for comprehensive preparation and a seamless transition to meet CMS Review Choice Demonstration standards.

Experience

Extensive knowledge of IRF regulations and the unique requirements of the Review Choice Demonstration is required. Must have in-depth familiarity with the IRU's operational processes to effectively address the needs of the IRU. Experience with EPIC EHR builds and similar regulatory initiatives is highly desirable.

Education

B.A. / B.S. required

Licensure/Certifications

Must be licensed as a current California RN or current California Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Must be QI credential prior to the completion of 90 days of employment then maintained annually thereafter.

$73.62

$98.42

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $4.47 Hourly Night Shift Differential: $6.70
