What you will do:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties, which include Payroll, A/R, A/P, Cost, General Ledger, and Credit/Invoicing.
Some key responsibilities for Staff Accountants:
- Provide quality products and services for internal and external customers
- Interface with corporate officers and front-line workers
- Perform general accounting duties that include, but are not limited to data entry, general office duties, pricing updates, accounts receivable and accounts payable, including account reconciliations and vendor discrepancies
- Perform month-end closing processes
- Prepare, enter, and verify pricing on items billed to customers
- Prepare 1099s and other tax paperwork
- Perform high quality work and make quality decisions
Minimum Qualifications Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related financial field
- Experience in using Microsoft Office and other specific accounting software packages
- Ability to effectively utilize personal/mainframe computer, specific accounting software packages, Microsoft Excel, telephone, copier, calculator, and fax machines
- A minimum of two years' experience in accounting/related field within a manufacturing/production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
