Job Description:
We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team in Manly, NSW. Working directly with key accounts throughout the United States to manage day to day issues on utility scale PV projects from the development stage to construction support. The position will manage all decisions relating to Geotechnical Engineering for Nextracker's projects including but not limited to analyze geotechnical reports, foundation sizing, pile load testing, soil corrosion analysis, and various geotechnical engineering tasks and decisions to support project quoting and calculation packages. Further this position will be interfacing with engineering teams located in the US, Mexico, Spain, Australia and India as well as Sales, Project Management, and R&D teams at Nextracker's offices around the world.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
- Assist in analyzing Geotechnical Reports, Corrosion Analysis, and Soil Risk Analysis
- Assist in project development phase; review pertinent site information, calculations and cost estimation
- Review Geotechnical reports and recommend design parameters.
- Calculate skin friction, end bearing and lateral resistance from Geotechnical reports.
- Occasional site visit to supervise Geotech investigations and pile load testing.
- Prepare foundation calculation packages and drawings
- Provide construction support; respond/prepare to RFIs and submittals
- Assist in development of Nextracker products, generate full understanding of Nextracker product
- Coordinate with Nextracker's Structural/Geotechnical Engineers in other regions to create and update structural and civil standards, specifications, templates, and design tools
- Manage schedule and review structural and geotechnical engineering consultants' works
- Assist in development of expanding Nextracker Design Services team
Here is some of what you'll need (required):
- 5 years of Geotechnical Engineering work experience preferably in Solar Industry.
- BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent. MS in Geotechnical Engineering is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of engineering standards, codes and other applicable state and federal guidelines including but not limited to AS/NZS, IBC, CBC, ASCE, AISCE and other codes
- Proficiency in LPile Software
- Proficiency in other foundation Software is a plus
