Job Description:
As a key leader within Nextracker's corporate strategy team,The Sr. Director of Market Intelligencemanages the overall market intelligence function for the company, providing valuable analysis and insights required for strategic decisions and growth planning. This includes insights into industry dynamics/trends across our global markets, customers, and competitors, and economic analysis of value chains and activities. You will lead a team of analysts to extract valuable and actionable insights from a broad range of primary and secondary data sources (including customers, partners, advisors, and third-party analysts) to support strategic planning and execution across Nextracker's product lines and markets. Ultimately, you will enhance the organization's collective intelligence across many external factors influencing our business.
Function of the Position:
This role is a full-time professional position that supports strategic planning activities and execution through market research and analysis.
- Collect appropriate customer, competitor, market, economic, financial and/or operational data through primary and secondary research
- Drive financial, statistical and qualitative data analysis of markets, value chains, and competitors
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for key strategic decisions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shape and execute the research agenda in partnership with executive leadership to support decision making across all lines of business
- Deliver actionable insights that generate meaningful business results
- Build partnerships with industry subject matter experts: Foster strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to unlock valuable insights and resources
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the market intelligence team on multiple large, complex and visible projects
- Translate data into strategies: Integrate market research and data analytics to inform accretive business opportunities
- Orchestrate thorough analysis of key industry trends; the general social, economic and political environment; legal and regulatory issues; customers; current and potential competitors
- Update comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces
- Evaluate the economics of industry value chains; understand cost structures, drivers, and profit opportunities across activities, segments, and applications
- Ensure that actionable market insights are disseminated and leveraged appropriately throughout the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA and/or economics degree preferred
- Understanding of/ familiarity with the utility-scale solar and/or electric power industry
- Familiarity with various energy generation technologies/systems including solar modules, trackers, inverters, and energy storage systems a plus
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $220,000 - $270,000
