  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to identify test requirements, define test strategies, and troubleshoot design issues.
  • Conduct electrical, thermal, and mechanical testing on power electronic components and systems, analyzing test data and providing actionable insights.
  • Lead failure analysis investigations to identify root causes of test failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Interface with suppliers and external test labs to coordinate testing activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering with a proven record of working in Power Electronics Labs building or testing power electronics.
  • 6+ years of experience in power electronics design, development, and manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of high-voltage power systems, DC/DC (isolated and non-isolated), and DC/AC topologies used in high-power converters.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies for power electronic components and systems, including electrical characterization, thermal analysis, and reliability testing.
  • Experience in identifying corner cases for testing, creating test setups, conducting tests, and reporting and analyzing test results for power electronics projects.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for power electronics testing, such as IEC, IEEE, and UL standards.
  • Solid understanding of Python and extensive experience in developing test scripts, communicating with various test instruments, and running automated tests.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify potential issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
