Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

 

As NFM's Safety Analyst you will administer the safety and health program to ensure compliance with established policies and OSHA and EPA regulations. You will assist with the Occupational Injury Benefit Plan, general liability, property damage and auto damage claims. If providing a safe place to work is of the utmost importance to you, this is a great role for you! This is a hybrid position at our Texas location. 

 

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Track: Conduct and follow OSHA-required training
  • Assist: Work with the manager on reviewing investigations of accidents and injuries, while suggesting preventative solutions 
  • Coordinate: Lead inspections and tours of all facilitates to detect existing or potential accident, fire and health hazards
  • Maintain: Learn federal, state and local safety and health legislation and provide guidance to ensure compliance
  • Monitor: Keep track of accident/injury reports and investigations and review statistical data to identify problem areas for management review
  • Participate: Join the safety steering committee and other safety committees as needed/requested
  • Investigate: Examine claims and determine extent of NFM's liability. Work with manager to settle claims or forward to appropriate insurance carrier

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • Bachelor's degree or college coursework in business, occupational safety, or related area
  • 3-5 years' safety experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • 1 – 2 years' claims handling experience preferred
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check
