Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

 

 

As NFM's Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will provide leadership, support, and guidance to IT teams to monitor, automate and develop the code delivery pipeline and production environment.  Be a servant leader who serves the needs of team members such that team members grow both personally and professionally.  Building strategies and solutions to simplify the technology stack while achieving the goal of continuous delivery. 

This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in one of the following states: NE, IA, MO, KS or TX. 

 

Job Duties: A Day in the Life 

 

  • Unravel: Understand other operational aspects within our platform and automate execution using runbooks which are constantly tested using CI/CD environment
  • Be Precise: Automate testing to validate functions are working as intended
  • Collaborate: Take ownership of system-level issues and drive for prompt resolution with support from other teams
  • Support: Resolve architecture issues and provide improved design methodologies
  • Be the Expert: Manage the deployment and upgrade process of the cloud platform and core services

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

 

  • Bachelor's degree with area of specialization in Information Systems or related field required
  • DevOps Certification (Azure, Docker, Software Testing).
  • 8+ years as a Developer/Network Engineer/Testing Engineer
  • Required experience in Terraform, Ansible and Azure pipelines
  • Preferred experience in Kafka/Confluent, -Prometheus/Grafana/Alert Manager, Azure APIM and Network
  • Broad understanding of tools and technologies: source control, continuous integration, infrastructure automation, deployment automation, container concepts, orchestration and cloud
  • Strong problem solving / analytical skills
  • Understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledge of the software development processes and methodologies.
  • Available to provide on-call support 24 hours per day, 7 days a week as needed
  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
