Job Title: Assistant Market Manager
- Location: Atlanta, GA
- Work Environment: Office-based (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
- Travel: Minimal ( 1-2 days per month)
Primary Purpose
The Assistant Market Manager Analyst is responsible for analyzing market trends and customer data to inform pricing decisions and solve related pricing issues for an assigned group of customers. This role ensures timely and effective pricing strategies that align with business goals and market competitiveness.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute pricing actions that align with strategic business direction while maintaining competitiveness in the marketplace.
- Uses market knowledge, competitive analysis, and internal analysis to make pricing recommendations and decisions.
- Research, analyze, and present data-driven recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Supports sales representatives with customer proposal documents.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for respective market including the most up to date knowledge of competition, market headwinds, market tailwinds.

- Market & Competitor Research – Ability to gather and interpret pricing trends and competitor data

- Industry Expertise – Basic knowledge of the market to enhance credibility and tailor pricing solutions
- Strategic Revenue Management – Supports revenue management through pricing data and analysis
- Revenue/Volume Forecasting – Applies predictive pricing strategies to support volume and revenue planning
Qualifications
- Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business or a related field
Experience
- Minimum: 1–2 years in a related role
- Preferred: 2–4 years of pricing, financial analysis, or transportation/logistics experience
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Access (Database Development)
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (Spreadsheets)
- Experience with MS PowerPoint (Presentations)
- Familiarity with Cost Systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to persuade and influence others
- Excellent analytical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving mindset
