Job Description

 

Norfolk Southern Corporation is currently seeking an IBM Sterling B2B Integrator administrator engineer within Integration Services group within Information Technology Department. You will serve as a team member on the EDI Team in a complex, mission-critical computing environment spanning primarily Unix/Linux with limited Mainframe technologies. This will include new development and enhancements on Sterling B2B Integrator and its supporting EDI/B2B infrastructure as well as support activities. Seeking well-rounded individual with vision and maturity depth that allows for grasping of issues quickly, while making educated, critical judgments and decisions in ambiguous situations. 

Responsibilities
  • Interface with customers, internal and external business partners, third-party suppliers, and vendors.  
  • Assist in designing the corporate EDI and B2B architecture as required for installed and proposed systems.
  • Adhere to established change control policies and prescribed procedures.
  • Produce documentation and procedures regarding the proper use and operation of the corporate EDI and B2B infrastructure.  
  • Facilitate best practices sharing and ensuring consistent administration practices.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented focus.  
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve problems, while maximizing efficient use of people, tools, and processes.
  • Display excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Apply strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
     
Skills Required
  • 3+ years of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator administration engineering experience.
  • 3+ years BP development, mapping, and implementation in a corporate environment.
  • 2+ years of Unix/Linux.
  • Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) v6.x and higher in a Unix or Linux environment.
  • Application Integrator (SBI) mapping experience with XML to EDI, EDI to XML, APP to EDI and EDI to APP.
  • SBI business process (BP) development/configuration experience.
  • SBI perimeter server configuration experience.
  • Implementation knowledge/experience of SBI communication protocols and mail-boxing for FTP, SFTP and AS2.
  • File/Data communication experience: Secure FTP (SFTP or FTP/S), AS2, PGP, WebSphere MQ.

 

Skills Desired 

  • Experience on Red Hat Linux. 
  • BPML, XPATH.
  • Shell Scripting.
  • SQL queries.

 

Education
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Environment: Office Remote, ideal candidate must be based or relocated within 60 miles Atlanta.
Shift Work: No
On-Call: Yes; 24x7 environment with on-call duties.
Weekend Work: No
