At NorthBay Health the Ambulatory Quality Support RN works under the supervision of the Director, Primary Care, and guidance from the Ambulatory Quality Director, to provide service line support to NorthBay Healthcare and the NorthBay Medical Group. Acts as a resource for department, administration, medical staff, and hospital personnel in areas related to Ambulatory Quality.  Responsible for, designing, conducting and reporting clinical and operational studies, surveys, and reports to improve the quality and safety of patient care. Abstracts complex clinical data and is able to input into a variety of databases and information systems.  Coordinates analyst and review personnel team members to retrieve high quality data from which to create reports and operational reviews. Submits reports and reviews in a complete, final and timely manner. Utilizes appropriate graphical, presentation and statistical analysis in completion and dissemination of assigned studies. Provides educational support and conducts presentations related to quality to facilitate opportunities to improve patient care. Participates in survey and regulatory preparation including: readiness assessment, action plan development, education and monitoring for standards compliance. Works in conjunction with the medical staff department in performing physician peer review. Is able to work independently utilizing a high level of initiative, judgment and critical thinking skills and collaboratively using good team and communication skills.



Qualifications

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BS in nursing degree required. Licensure: Current California RN licensure required. Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ) preferred. 
  2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of either ambulatory quality or HEDIS reporting, or 3 years of ambulatory practice experience.
  3. Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Possess teaching and leadership ability, as well as high professional standards. Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate the work of others.  Great project management skills. Must be highly organized, with the ability to set priorities, work independently, and be an effective team member.  Must possess a high degree of attention to detail. Ability to abstract complex clinical data and create evidence based actionable opportunities.  Excellent critical thinking skills.  Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to integrate information from multiple sources.  Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Power Point skills required.  Access or other database management skills and SPC preferred.

  6. Other: Ability to travel between facility and work sites with access to an operating vehicle with at least minimal coverage auto insurance. 
  7. Compensation:  $71.31    - $ 86.00 per hour based on years of experience in the role.
