At NorthBay the Environmental Services Manager is responsible for managing Environmental Services staff, budgets, equipment and other resources in maintaining NorthBay Healthcare buildings in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.  This individual directly coordinates personnel activities such as hiring, conducting disciplinary action, training and staff scheduling.  Maintains an adequate level of supplies and equipment approved by Infection Control and Value Analysis committees.  Develops and maintains, with the assistance of the Director, ES and Linen Quality Assurance indicators for NorthBay MedicalCenter and VacaValley hospitals. Assists Director of Environmental Services in assuring compliance with standard practices and regulatory requirements.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's degree with 3+ years EVS leadership experience in a hospital setting, or 8 years progressively responsible supervisory experience with at least 4 years in the discipline. Master's Degree preferred.

Licensure:  Preferred certification as an executive housekeeper. 

Experience: Five years of progressively responsible management/supervisory experience with three years in environmental services and/or hospital related departments. Knowledge of hospital infection control practices, environmental services policies and procedures, Joint Commission Environment of Care requirements, Cal-OSHA  regulations, Title 22 regulations, Hazardous material regulations, ADA and AHJ requirements

Essential Skills:   Proficient in MS Office Suite required; Word and Excel and EVS software systems preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to prepare and deliver executive-level presentations. Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently and is an effective team member.

Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality. 

Hours: Management exempt.- Evenings- shift will vary based upon business needs.

Compensation: $112,300 -  $122,700 annually based on years of Management experience in environmental services
