At NorthBay Health, the Medical Assistant (MA) Lead position is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code. Leader duties include assisting with staffing, training, and problem resolution while focusing on the constant improvement of customer service, process efficiency and effectiveness, lowering error rates, identifying opportunities in daily protocols, etc. Ability to quickly grasp protocols/policies and adhere to them is essential. Resourcefulness is imperative. The successful candidate will have excelled in the above mentioned areas.



Qualifications

Education:  High school graduate or equivalent preferred.  Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.  Program or additional classwork in medication administration required.

Licensure/Certification: State or National Medical Assistant Certification from certifying agency required. Current AHA certification or equivalent in basic CPR. Completed competency checklist for Venipuncture.  Medical Administration competency complete.

Experience:  Three year's experience in ambulatory care setting. Two year's of experience with medication administration required.

Skills: Demonstrated effective time management skills.  Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing ambulatory nursing care as appropriate for patients in the following age groups:  Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal. Knowledge of medical terminology.

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the True North values. Hours of Work:  Based on business need.

Other:  Bilingual preferred.

Compensation:  $28 to $34.96 based on years of experience doing the duties of the role.
