Summary of Position

NRECA's Marketing team shapes the go-to-market strategies, value propositions, positioning, and promotions for a large and dynamic portfolio of products and services for external and member audiences. We work to tell the modern electric cooperative story, positively influence the perception of cooperatives with inside-the-beltway policymakers, and elevate the organization's brand. This is a Hybrid position located in Arlington, VA.

We are looking for a driven, creative, and astute Senior Manager of Product Marketing to execute comprehensive marketing strategies and integrated campaigns to achieve revenue, engagement, satisfaction, and utilization goals. This portfolio is specifically focused on our essential Membership, Business and Technology Strategies, and other association-wide offerings. Key Responsibilities

  • Uses data and market research to understand the profiles, needs, requirements, and buying habits of target audiences, developing differentiated Go-To-Market strategies and plans.   
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive, targeted marketing plans to achieve business goals.
  • Formulates and executes marketing strategies and campaigns that position NRECA programs, products and services as integral resources co-ops need to be successful.  
  • Develops value propositions, messaging platforms and detailed tactical promotion plans for each program/event, product or service.
  • Develops, directs, or sources original, creative, and effective content for marketing materials.
  • Analyzes, adapts, and executes decisively.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills  

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
  • 7+years marketing or advertising experience managing integrated marketing campaigns in a large organization.
  • Experience in event, product and service marketing.
  • Experience leveraging diverse marketing channels (print, digital, social) to drive results across segmented target groups. 
  • Ability to prioritize, work quickly, and manage multiple projects, timelines and deadlines as well as be adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience working with various systems and strategies impacting the marketing function, including website content management, email marketing, basic graphic design, marketing analytics and segmentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, across a diverse range of audiences, demonstrating proficiency of English grammar rules and editing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project and campaign management in a matrixed environment.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
