Job Title: IT Business Analyst  

Reporting to: Enterprise Application Manager

Duration: 6 month Contract

Location: Clevedon, North Somerset, UK. We require the candidate to be close to Clevedon BS21 6FT, or within a 2hr30 commutable radius.

Competence & Qualifications

  • IT related degree, HND or BTEC qualification
  • Proven experience working in the complete software development lifecycle (Analysis > Design > Build > Test > Deployment)
  • Deep understanding of requirements engineering process ranging from elicitation, analysis, validation and management of functional / non-functional requirements
  • Process modelling against the BPMN 2.0 standard
  • Understanding of business analysis methodologies
  • Experience / Knowledge with MS Office / Visio / SharePoint
  • Desired - Business Analysis certification (BCS ISEB)

Key Duties:

To assist in the development of Hydro processes and systems by providing quality business analysis skills ranging from As-Is/To-Be Design, requirements engineering, supporting the design process and managing internal/user acceptance testing:

 

  1. Manage stakeholders from director level to divisional administration staff.
  2. Facilitate and organise requirements capture workshops or utilise other techniques (job shadowing, meetings, surveys) to elicit requirements from the business.
  3. Capture and model business processes (As-Is/To-Be analysis).
  4. Build detailed gap analysis against the current state and the desired state.
  5. Assist in the design and development of software solutions that meet the stated business requirements.
  6. Work closely with the testing team to manage the testing process and produce test management reports for stakeholders.
  7. Extensive practical knowledge in data migration processes (Extract, Transform, Load).
  8. To project manage small / medium sized projects where required.
  9. Identify areas of improvement in projects and programmes to increase quality.
  10. To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  11. To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.
  12. Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
