Summary:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)  of the Oneida Casino & Hotel serves as a key strategic leader responsible for driving the Oneida Nation's economic development and self-determination through the successful operation of its premier gaming and hospitality enterprise. Oversees all aspects of casino-hotel operations while developing and executing strategic initiatives to maximize profitability, maintain competitive advantage, and ensure sustainable growth that benefits the Oneida Nation and its members. The  Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Oneida Casino & Hotel  must balance business objectives with cultural preservation and community impact while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence, guest service, and regulatory compliance. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, cultural competence, and a deep commitment to advancing the Oneida Nation's vision for the future. 


Responsibilities:

Human Resources

Build and develop high-performing teams; Implement training and development programs; Create positive work environment; Maintain staff retention metrics; Conduct performance evaluations.

Customer Service

Ensure high quality service standards; Measure and monitor customer satisfaction; Address customer feedback/complaints; Implement service improvements.

Nation Building

This position plays a vital role in Nation Building by:

- Generating revenue to support tribal programs and services.

- Creating employment opportunities and career advancement paths for tribal members.

- Developing tribal talent through mentorship and professional development programs.

- Promoting Oneida culture and values throughout the enterprise.

- Building strategic partnerships that strengthen tribal sovereignty.

- Ensuring resources are managed in alignment with the Nation's long-term goals.

- Supporting economic diversification initiatives.

- Contributing to the Nation's reputation as a leader in tribal gaming and hospitality.

- Modeling effective tribal leadership and governance.

Financial Strategy, Budgeting and Profitability

- Develop and execute short-term and long-term business strategies to achieve financial goals and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

- Explore new revenue streams and product offerings.

- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies.

- Create targeted marketing campaigns.

- Leverage digital and traditional marketing channels.

- Design and Implement customer loyalty programs.

- Implement pricing strategies.

Organizational Culture

- Lead by example in promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.

- Monitor and analyze employee satisfaction, turnover metrics and exit interview data to identify improvement opportunities.

- Ensure managers are equipped with tools and training needed to effectively develop, coach, and retain their teams.

- Drive employee engagement through regular department visits, town halls, recognition programs and clear communication of organizational goals and achievements.

- Implement structured engagement initiatives including regular listening sessions, employee surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms to ensure frontline input shapes organizational decisions.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to gaming, hospitality, and employment.

- Foster a positive work environment that supports and promotes employee engagement, development, and retention.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Oneida Nation, local community, and industry partners.

- Manage crisis situations and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.

- Represent the property at industry events, conferences, and community functions.

* Proficiency in using various technologies and software applications related to gaming and hospitality operations.

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality Management. 
* A Combination of Experience and Education May Be Considered

* Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle

Experience:

Essential:
* Ten (10) years of executive level experience in the gaming and/or hospitality operation. 
* Least five (5) years in a senior leadership role; experience to include a combination of the following: financial management, budgeting, tactical and strategic planning and implementation, human resource administration.

Must pass a background check to meet Employment Eligibility Requirements. If applicable, must pass a background check to meet Oneida Nation/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance, and may be required to obtain a temporary license and/or Gaming license as a condition of employment.

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
