After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Provide a range of psychosocial assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, referral and/or case management services for individuals, couples, groups, and/or families. 


Responsibilities:

* Provide counseling services; to include diagnosis and assessment, consultation, referrals, crisis intervention and follow-up to the Oneida Nation employees and family members
* Provide informed professional guidance on a wide range of employee relations issues in accordance with policies and procedures
* Attend and participate in community outreach events
* Assist in developing and implementing employee mental health and substance abuse education and awareness programs; identify, develop, and facilitates education, in-services, and training on EAP related topics to assist in reducing problems in the workforce and retaining valued employees
* Participate in the development of short- and long-term goals and objectives to meet the needs of the Oneida Nation and the goals of the Employee Assistance Program; evaluate program policies and procedures recommending process improvements as needed
* Keep leadership and other departments informed of status of EAP activities by attending meetings and submitting reports
* Ensure strict confidentiality of records
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations

Skills:

Essential:
* Knowledge of department organization, functions, objectives, policies, and procedures
* Exercise independent judgement and work as a team player with DTS or cross fucntional BU's.
* Interact and maintain good professional working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
* Obtain additional education and training
* Operate various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment
* Ability to exercise independent judgment and meet strict timelines
* Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondences
* Analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations
* Knowledge of applicable Oneida Nation, federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements
* Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational and technical reports and manuals
* Knowledge and understanding and sensitivity of the Native American people, traditions, values, and culture
* Multi-cultural employee base
* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format
* Ability to create and present effective speeches and presentations

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Master's Degree in Social Work
* A Combination of Experience and Education May Be Considered
* Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical & Counseling
* Master's Degree in Counseling & Guidance

Credentials:

Essential:
* Driver's License Personal Vehicle

* Must obtain a Wisconsin driver's license or occupational driver's license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license.

* Insurance Required

Nonessential:
* Driver Safety Training
* Substance Abuse Professional Per DOT Regulation, within six (6) months of hire.

* Child Abuse Reporting Policy (CARP),Within ninety (90) days of employment.

* Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), within six (6) months of hire.

Must pass a background check to meet Employment Eligibility Requirements. If applicable, must pass a background check to meet Oneida Nation/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance, and may be required to obtain a temporary license and/or Gaming license as a condition of employment.

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
