About this PositionThe Coordinator of Early Settlement Mediation works under supervision of the Director to support the operational activities and professional service coordination for the Oklahoma County Early Settlement Mediation program. This position is responsible for case management, tracking, organizing and scheduling mediations that is accomplished through a network of qualified community volunteers and service providers. Additionally, this position will conduct mediation as needed.
Required Qualifications- High School diploma with qualified experience or Associates Degree in counseling, public service, justice and/or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5 years' experience in professional program support, operational reporting and case management.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Must have current driver's license.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in support of a public program.
- Ability to prioritize, resolve issues, multi-task, and maintain schedules and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
- High degree of initiative to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated organizational ability and experience in case management.
- Candidate must be an active listener and possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to self-manage and identify areas of need and complete day-to-day activities.
- Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
- Bachelor's degree in public service, justice and or work experience in supporting conflict resolution programs.
- Certified mediator through Early Settlement Mediation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate mediation services under the direction of the program director.
- Develop relationships with community volunteers and organizers.
- Attend training and obtain/maintain certification in basic and family mediation.
- Manage the scheduling of mediation sessions and coordinate volunteer mediator assignments.
- Manage the program and Acuity calendars and ensure information is correct.
- Facilitate mediation.
- Attend Small Claims and FED dockets as needed.
- Manage weekly T.O. docket at the courthouse to include volunteer sign-up, material preparation, and mediation.
- Completes prescreen interviews prior to mediations and follow up with parties as necessary.
- Send Judge Reports.
- Track, develop, maintain and report monthly/annual program statistics for reporting to the State Director of Dispute Resolution and Supervisor, OSU-OKC.
- Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and phone calls.
- Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development opportunities each year.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
- Local travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to handle high volume of phone calls, emails and in-person inquiries.
- Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking, listening and computer usage.
- Must be able to drive to and from various other locations.
- Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
