If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet you! Job Skills / Requirements The Assistant Site Manager's primary responsibility is to support the Bow Site Security Manager. This includes being the point of staff contact and working with the client via the Site Security Manager. The Assistant Site Manager will support the needs of the employees within the portfolio to ensure consistent quality of service.
The Assistant Site Manager will be based on site at the Bow Tower but may be required to attend the branch office for work or meetings. Flexibility of schedule is required, as the Assistant Site Manager will primarily work non-business standard hours, and weekends.
It is expected that the Assistant Manager will back fill for the Site Security Manager when they are away or on vacation.
Job Duties and responsibilities
- Ensures site documents are up to date and complete. Ensuring Site Orders are both in hard copy on site and in digital copy (shared with branch office).
- Ensures that there are thorough Site Training and Employee Orientation programs in place and that all newly assigned staff demonstrates competence on site.
- Supports Human Resources to ensure sufficient resources are available to meet the company's obligations.
- Assists the Site Security Manager in monitoring all accounts receivable of clients within the portfolio and assists accounting when needed to ensure all accounts are kept up to date.
- Ensures that all services, provided by staff assigned within the portfolio are delivered in accordance with the client's wishes and best interests and in accordance with Paladin's Code of Ethics.
- The Assistant Manager will take the lead on Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee Committe (JOHSC) and Workers Compensation Board (WCB) concerns. They will work with the OHS Reps to ensure compliance is met
- Performs interviews and meets all new staff being considered for the portfolio.
- Ensures all staff within his/her portfolio have adequate training based on industry, corporate and client standards.
- Assists the Site Security Manager in providing motivational and disciplinary discussions with all staff assigned within the portfolio as needed.
- Assists the Site Security Manager in providing evaluations of staff assigned to site on an as needed basis and in accordance with company policies.
- Assists the Site Security Manager in providing, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the client, in this portfolio.
- Develops and maintains frequent (and proactive) security evaluations of client facilities and ensures appropriate recommendations are made to clients so that their security needs are met.
- Ensures clients and tenants of the client are aware of and satisfied with the services provided and offered by the company.
- Monitors Incident Reports and takes appropriate action on the reports that are related to site. Prepares Key Performance Indicator reports for regular review with Site Manager and client.
- Foster good relations with local law enforcement organizations and participate in joint programs designed to reduce crime.
- Responds to communications from clients or staff in a timely manner - Attend industry meetings and events.
- Communicates appropriate information to Site Security Manager and branch office as needed to ensure that any outstanding issues are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Reports regularly to the Site Security Manager on matters of company or client interest or significant events.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensure that the Schedule is accurate, up to date, rolled over and populated at least 3 months in advance.
- Routinely review schedule, 2 weeks in advance, for irregularities and last-minute changes.
- Fill vacancies as required, ensuring to minimize overtime and missed coverage.
- Track and monitor vacation and Leave of Absence (LOA) requests. Ensure that guards are utilizing their accrued "Vacation” time for any extended absences from duty prior to using other leave options such as unpaid leave.
- Liaising with Paladin Portfolio Resource Coordinator (PRC) to generate required Training Shifts as needed.
- Inputting of names for, Training Shifts, into the schedule.
- Working with Scheduling PRC to ensure Compliance Tracker is updated and accurate.
- Work closely with scheduling PRC
Education Requirements (Any)
High School Diploma/GED
Post Secondary Education
Valid Alberta Security License
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
