The Site Supervisor will be the liaison between the Security Team, Paladin Security management and the Edmonton City Centre management team. The role will include the four teams of Security Agents assigned to the site, the Concierge positions, the Dockmaster position, Extra Duty Agents assigned to the site, and Special Duty Agents assigned for short-term requests from our client. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the site, as determined by the CSM, the client, and the policies and procedures of Paladin Security. The Site Supervisor fosters a safe and energetic work environment for their team, ensuring duties and obligations are fulfilled.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build a strong and positive culture based on a respectful and engaging work environment with team members to build retention of employees
- Ensure that employees are clear and understand community-based security program, and are comfortable with the site and service delivery expectations
- Work with Team Leads to identify people for succession planning
- Promotion of Good Deeds Program, and reporting to ECC Management on a regular basis
- Communication of potential nominees for Paladin Pipeline Awards
- All requests for follow-up must be replied to at the earliest opportunity with an acknowledgement that it was received, actions need to be taken, an estimated timeline to complete.
- Provide proactive engagement and build a rapport with the Edmonton City Centre clients
- Provide positive and productive communication to Edmonton City Centre Management based on actions we can take to improve service delivery
- Take part in any meetings related to daily operations of Edmonton City Centre, which includes but is not limited to bi-weekly update meetings, OH&S meetings, tenant meetings, meetings with EPS, etc.
- Completion of required patrols; team members are educated on proper procedures and that they are recorded by team members using Notebooks and TrackTik
- Ensure completion of Incident Reports in a timely manner, and follow up with the teams on late reporting
- Ensure that there is clear communication between Team Leads and team members, concierge, and special duty agents
- Assessment of team performance through walk-through of the site with a critical eye to look for opportunities to improve service delivery
- Communication between Team Leads and Client Service Manager on areas of concern including individual team member performance, attendance, or conduct
- Concerns are investigated in a timely manner and communicated between Paladin Security and Edmonton City Centre stakeholders
- Meet with new officers when assigned to site to evaluate their competencies
- Ensure that Team Leads are following Site Training Evaluation program
- Working with People and Culture and Portfolio Resource Coordinator to ensure that site personnel get required training and recertifications schedule
- Work with Portfolio Resource Coordinator on roster positions and scheduling needs of the site
- Review open shifts, and ensure contractual scheduling requirements are met
- Provide regular updates of the ECC Roster and ECC Roster Pictures to clients
- Special Duty Coverage
- OH&S Program (promoting, engaging the team, ensuring the team is following the procedures and policies of OH&S
- Ensuring Near Miss and Accident reporting is completed based on OH&S regulations
- Weekly audits
- Ensuring the Team meet acceptable uniform requirements and that team leads address the standards with staff
- Ensure all site training requirements have been met and signed off on.
Requirements:
- Will possess a minimum of 2 years of security experience
- 1 year in a supervisory/ leadership role
- Card access / familiarity with Lenel software is an asset
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Completion of High School Diploma
- Proven leadership, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
