Position: Full Time Security Guard
Site: Ingredion Canada Corporation
Site Address: 1100 Green Valley Road, London, Ontario N6N 1E3
Shift Hours: Nights 1830-0630AM
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday
Payrate: $19.06/hour

Key responsibilities:
- Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plant
- Weigh scale operations
- Document and Customs control for contractors/drivers
- There is also some document and customs control for contractors/drivers
- Report safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Ingredion representative
- Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required
- Aid in emergency responses and first aid measures when required
- Aid in Ingredion Health and Safety programs/procedures when required
- Maintain a helpful and professional affiliation with Ingredion employees, carriers, contractors, and visitors
- Prevent, help manage, observe, detect, report:
- Thefts, break-ins, vandalism
- Accidents, fire, leaks
- Articles of value found
- Damage found to building
- Hazardous conditions
- Unauthorized parking on site
- Any other circumstances and conditions not in line with good security practices
- Follow additional practices as set out by Ingredion when necessary
Prerequisites:
- Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service;
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures;
- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations;
- Write clear, concise and legible reports
- Must wear minimum 6-inch safety boots. They must cover the ankle and must be all leather. There is to be no mesh on the boot.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard license (required)
- Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate
- Experience in a Truck Gate/Warehouse environment
- Physically capable of cutting truck bolt seals
- Microsoft Office experience
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
