Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours OR ESA
City: One Queen Street East, Toronto
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday (1300-1900 hours)
Pay Rate: $19.25 /hr.

Full Job Description
Performing a variety of duties in the office Mail Services Operations to ensure incoming and outgoing mail is delivered to the appropriate customer in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the agency's customer service philosophy. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing mail contents to determine the appropriate receiver, determining the most economical way of sending outgoing mail, preparing packages and other documents, operating the mail inserter, and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The most incumbent must:
- Receive incoming mail for all areas of the sorts according to P.O. Box, special recipients, size and thickness of envelopes. Sorts incoming mail for all administrations either manually
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, make separations, distributes and deliver mail throughout the building
- Receives orders and notices; receives incoming customer service center batch mail daily, reviews contents, sorts and stores it to the appropriate office
- Operate X-ray Security Screening System on all incoming mail to ensure DMV employee's safety and that no foreign objects enter the facility
- Receives outgoing mail and packages, weighs packages, and determines the most economical way to send packages. Enters UPS/ DHL and etc shipping information into the computer manifest system and maintains shipping register. Performs package tracking and contacts the appropriate company for package delivery information
- Able to demonstrate the ability to perform Data entry
- Courteous with strong customer service orientation, the ability to multi-task and work comfortably in a fast-paced, student-friendly/diverse environment
- Weekly/monthly report about the status of the remain/ delivers package
- May be required to work in the area of Printing, Warehouse, and Inserter Operations as needed
- Ensure that work assignment is completed and the Supervisor is notified if unable to complete
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Send out communications to teams as necessary and manage or assist teams with administrative tasks. (faxing, mailing, etc) distributions
- Provide thorough account servicing to and communicate with consumers by telephone and approved written correspondence to attempt to bring resolution to their past due status or other account-related issues
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- When accepting mail across the service counter, validate that customers are authorized, and conduct parcel inspections in accordance with existing and current mailroom procedures
- Ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 40 pounds; ability to push up to 100 pounds
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Any additional tasks assigned by the management on a day-to-day basis.
Prerequisites:
- Immunization Record - Covid-19 - proof of x2 doses
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in Canada
- A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid WSIB Approved First Aid with CPR Level C with AED (STANDARD)
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- First Aid & CPR – Level C

Minimum of 1 year security experience
