Job Skills / Requirements This position is located at the Calgary International Airport to provide gender specific female pat-downs for all non-civilian passengers in the specified terminal area.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons
- De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources
- Exercise crowd control
- Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
- Handle inquires
- Working a variety of hours, afternoons and evenings included.
- Conducting pat-down searches on same gender staff.
- Confiscation of prohibited items.
- Access control - Terminal entry and exit points.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and communicate with a variety of individuals
- All other duties as assigned.
- PLEASE NOTE: Paladin Security may apply a gender-specific (male or female) hiring preference to fill this position, in order to meet the occupational requirements of same gender pat-downs
- Currently hold a valid Alberta Security license
- Hold a valid RED Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) or have ability to work with manager to obtain one.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
Education Requirements (Any)
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Alberta Security License
RAIC
