Summary of Job Description:

The Associate Communications Representative is responsible for developing and managing content for internal channels and events to engage, inform, and inspire Panda Restaurant Group's diverse workforce of associates, strengthening their connection to our mission, culture, and values. The role will also provide project management and production support for internal company events and culture initiatives such as leadership conferences and the Panda Expressed podcast. As part of the Corporate Communications function, this position is responsible for supporting day-to-day internal communications needs for internal stakeholder groups including Restaurant Operations, HR, and Marketing.


You'll get a chance to:

  • Produce clear, consistent, compelling content for internal communication channels, including copywriting, graphic design, and video production to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Support the rollout of organizational changes, initiatives, and programs by developing clear and transparent content guidance to help associates understand and embrace change.
  • Provide project management support to the Corporate Communications team, including but not limited to meeting and budget management, project plans, and deliverables and results tracker.
  • Serve as a liaison between cross-functional partners, tracking project timelines/deadlines to ensure projects are executed on budget and on time.
  • Publish and maintain consistency in messaging across all internal, external, and recruiting channels, reinforcing our mission, values, and culture with associates.
  • Monitor key internal communication metrics and analytics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of communication initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the planning and production of internal events and culture initiatives, including leadership conferences, town halls, podcasts, and more to inspire associates and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Perform/participate in special projects as requested.

Your background & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related field required
  • Minimum three years of corporate communications, employee engagement, and/or PR experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required training (including but not limited to store training, Recognizing & Preventing Sexual Harassment training, Conscious inclusion training, and Landmark Forum, etc.)
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
