Parkview Health is actively recruiting a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our Pediatric Subspecialty Team at our Main Campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is an outstanding opportunity to build a comprehensive community-based pediatric endocrinology practice, with the support of a large community-based health systemSpecifics of The Role
- Key position with a vital role in developing the new Pediatric Endocrinology program at Parkview
- 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient workload
- Typical office hours are 8a-5p but this can be flexible upon the physician's request
- Strong interest in quality improvement
- Opportunity to be involved in clinical teaching and medical student education through IU School of Medicine Fort Wayne
The Team
- Current plan is to staff a comprehensive team of 2 advanced practice providers, 2 registered nurses and 2 diabetes educators to support the physician in providing care for children with diabetes, thyroid and endocrine disorders
- Thriving Adult Endocrinology Program with 4 adult endocrinologists and 4 advanced practice providers who are eager to collaborate and engage with pediatric endocrinology to facilitate the pediatric to adult transition
- Robust group of pediatric specialties and pediatric outpatient care
Parkview Health's Enterprise Diabetes Program
- A robust Enterprise Diabetes Program, headed by a Director and Medical Director
- Dedicated inpatient and outpatient diabetes education program
- Integrated Epic platform and diabetes clinical registry
- Glucommander insulin management and surveillance program implemented throughout the Parkview Hospital system
- Ambulatory clinical pharmacy program embedded in primary care
Parkview Women's and Children's Hospital
- Located at the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus, with 97 beds dedicated to Women's and Children's care: 40 Family Birthing, 34 NICU, 16 Pediatrics and 7 PICU
- Pediatric specialists collaborate with Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the #3 ranked pediatric hospital in the US, to bring access to the nation's top pediatric experts, to northeast Indiana
