Description

This role supports Total Rewards and Human Resources management, including supporting the development of Total Rewards strategies and policies to meet the business needs with respect to the company's benefit and leave programs. This position provides an overall understanding of Paycom's benefits, leave and Human Resources programs and processes, answers employee questions and supports the administrative activities for the benefits and leave department. This position is responsible for the administration of leave of absences programs and managing medium to large complex projects and processes with limited oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responds to leave and benefits questions and independently seeks resolution to moderate to complex concerns or questions for all levels of the organization
  • Updates sensitive data in company systems, FMLA and leave of absence requests, ADA, etc.
  • Independently executes proper decisions on handling leave cases may partner with various stakeholders when needed
  • Identifies applicable regulations including state laws to autonomously assess leave and accommodation requests
  • Manages active and pending Leave of Absences and accommodations including eligibility, physician certifications, start/end dates, periodic check-ins, and return-to-work dates.  Including medical, personal, disability, military and FMLA
  • Performs advanced data analysis for use in generating and providing reports to help guide decision making and generates recommendations to present to Supervisor and HR leadership
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding and application of FMLA, ADA, USERRA and HIPAA laws when responding to inquiries or providing information across the organization
  • Develops relationships and consults with the HRBP, Managers, and Corporate Counsel on leave requests and accommodations when needed.
  • Collaborates with other departments, such as Learning & Development or Communications, on developing training materials, benefit plan communications, and other benefits related resources
  • Answers benefit related questions regarding long-term disability, short-term disability, etc. as needed
  • Partners with HRIS and Product Management by providing feedback on system functionality
  • Special projects and or other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards.


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in Human Resources, Leave or Benefits Administration

Skills/Abilities:

  • Firm understanding and administration of FMLA, ADA, USERRA and HIPAA laws
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail- oriented with strong research and analytical skills and the interest in continued growth and learning
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Leave and Benefits Administration policies and practice
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to prioritize work and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Outlook is required
