Position Summary:
This position provides recommendations, develops processes and reports and makes decisions to effectively execute initiatives related to Remarketing and fleet disposal. This position communicates regularly with the Remarketing and Field management teams. This associate will review list for sale, off-lease and sales trends and report out on current Remarketing initiatives. Additionally, this associate will work closely with field Rental leadership on critical initiatives related to the Remarketing rental equipment. This associate will also work with Remarketing, Field and Rental leadership to help with gain on sale business plan activities.
Major Responsibilities:
Asset Initiatives
• Develop and maintain reports and reporting for fleet and asset initiatives
• Report out to Remarketing and field leadership on asset initiative projects (i.e. park programs and listing initiatives)
• Work with Remarketing and Rental leadership to identify opportunities to create or add units to a program
• Analyze fleet and for sale inventory to identify areas of opportunity for current or new initiatives
• Work with Regional Asset Managers and Remarketing leadership to align asset initiatives to current strategies
• Work with Regional Asset Managers and field leadership to execute asset initiatives, such as park programs
Prep for Sale and Off-Lease Tracking
• Analyze inventory to identify distressed or aged assets that could benefit from extra awareness
• Work with Regional Asset Managers to develop appropriate sales plans for identified assets
• Report out to Remarketing and field leadership on monthly activities and prep audit results
• Report out to Remarketing Leadership and Regional Asset Managers on current off-lease not listed
• Review off-lease units not listed and work with Regional Asset Managers to develop and execute a plan to get units listed for sale
Assist in Business Plan Activities
• Analyze and review monthly Rental Fleet documents with Remarketing Leadership
• Run and analyze Fleet Mix projections for business plan
• Work with Regional Asset Managers on Large Fleet business plan
• Track and report out to Remarketing Leadership on status of Business Plan activities
• Track, analyze and report out on Field business plan inputs and track changes from Remarketing plan
Fleet Trend Tracking
• Develop reporting for fleet trends such as off-lease trending, rental listing activity, etc.
• Analyze and make recommendations to help improve asset management processes
• Analyze inventory to identify opportunities for improvement based on findings in trends
• Work with Remarketing Pricing team and Regional Asset Managers to identify listing and sales opportunities
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably a general business or finance related degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced professional environment with a high volume of work that varies often required. Experience in Remarketing Pricing or Asset Management preferred.
- Knowledge in Finance, Project Management, Used Vehicle Pricing, and Vehicle Spec required
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of MS Office (Access and Excel)
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
