Position Summary:

The Senior Digital Product Manager is an exciting new role at Penske and will be responsible for delivering digital products and services to Penske's (internal and external) customers. This role offers an opportunity to assume a leading role in the development of new customer-facing technology and to help Penske maintain a digital leadership position in the transportation industry.

The Senior Digital Product Manager will bring significant digital product management experience to the team. The Senior Digital Product Manager will act as the voice of the customer to the organization for their product. The ability to interact with customers effectively and translate that feedback into a product vision and executable product roadmap is integral to the position. The Senior Product Manager should be able to translate existing business knowledge and processes from other industries to strengthen Penske's existing expertise.

The role is an “in-office” position where the Senior Digital Product Manager is expected to be in the office 3-4 days per week.

Major Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive the product vision and roadmap

for transportation, logistics management, and analytics solutions, ensuring

alignment with internal and customer needs. Define the product vision based on

customer needs. Sell the product vision to all levels of Penske leadership to ensure

prioritization and funding of the product.

Customer Engagement: Ensure customer focus by building strong relationships

and embedding the voice of the customer in all aspects of product design,

development, and delivery.

Use Case Prioritization & Requirements Definition: Partner with cross-functional

stakeholders to prioritize high-value use cases and translate them into meaningful,

actionable product requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with leadership, regional leaders, and

cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions and improve customer

outcomes.

Operational Readiness & Adoption: Partner with regional teams to ensure service

operations and digital adoption readiness for successful product deployment.

Development Engagement: Work side-by-side with developers and designers as

part of a cross-functional team to define, prioritize, and deliver digital products that

meet the needs and goals of the business. Mentor existing Product Managers on best practices for Product Management and Agile approaches.

Own the Product Release Process: Coordinate with other internal stakeholders

(Communication, Customer Success, IT, PR) to ensure that product releases have

comprehensive rollout plans to support the launch of new features.

Other projects as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or equivalent field preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred. Certifications in Agile, Product Management (CPM), and Project Management (PMP) are preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with Product Management roles and responsibilities, which may include Software Development or Leading Digital Product Development
  • Product Management experience with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • QA Capabilities, including the ability to know the testing process and procedures.
  • Software Development experience, and Software Design/UX experience
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing the development process for complex software products using Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent time-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
