Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated Radiography Clinical Director to lead our Radiography Associate Degree program. This role combines clinical practice with educational leadership, offering a unique opportunity to inspire and guide future radiography professionals. You'll bridge theory and practice, sharing your clinical expertise and fostering student growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements.
  • Review student success rates by class and implement plans to reduce student withdrawals. Encourage students to stay in the program and maintain an 80% student success rate.
  • Monitor competency evaluations, clinical records, and students' radiation exposure.
  • Conduct orientations at clinical education sites and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate student grades and update records and transcripts at the end of each semester.
  • Evaluate students' performance and provide necessary support to meet learning objectives.
  • Visit clinical sites to review and evaluate students' clinical performance and progress.
  • Coordinate the clinical and didactic education for the Radiography program and revise the clinical education plan as needed.
  • Develop clinical objectives and evaluations in collaboration with clinical staff.
  • Assist with student admissions and participate in the accreditation/assessment process as needed.
  • Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in radiography and positioning techniques.
  • Perform the duties of a Radiography instructor as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
  • Three (3) years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program. (Preceptor experience is eligible.)
  • Proficiency in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
  • Current ARRT registration in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent (i.e., unrestricted state license).
  • Current license, certification, or other credential as required by local, state, and federal laws.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.
