Position Summary PMA is seeking a Project Controls Specialist (scheduling/cost management) to provide project controls support services for our current pharmaceutical clients. This position will be located onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be assisting the Project Controls Manager on several large manufacturing projects. Responsibilities include:
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining project schedules, total project cost estimates, and status reports.
- Monitoring project schedule progress, actual expenditures vs. budget, and all potential cost impacts.
- Reviewing contractor and consultants' invoices, identifying project risks, and supporting the development of weekly/monthly cost and status reports for the project team.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline required.
- 5+ years of project controls (cost or schedule) experience supporting large capital improvement programs, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector, is required.
- Proficiency in using Primavera P6 and MS Project required.
- Understanding of interrelationships between project controls issues and other functions such as project accounting and procurement.
- Detail-oriented with effective organization and coordination skills.
- Ability to be flexible in evolving procedures and work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software: SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and MS Office's other suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint) required.
Additional Requirements Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen. Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
