Job Summary

Under direction of the Epic Project Director, the Deployment Lead is responsible for all aspects of the deployment and activation of the Epic system to end users. The Deployment Lead works closely and collaboartively with the EpiCenter Training Manager, Testing Lead, Project Managers and Team leads to monitor system readiness and plan the deployment activities necessary for a successful go live. The Deployment Lead serves as a single point of contact for all activities necessary for a successful go live, including, but not limited to engagement and management of deployment readiness and adoption, training development and delivery, deployment impact assessment, and communication planning and execution training curriculum, go live support planning, go live logistics, command center operations and end user dress rehearsal. Develops detailed plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and budget estimates, and status reports for assigned responsibilities. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Accountabilities

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of deployment activity across multiple projects, including: status, release dates, issues/risks, readiness and impact, and adoption status. 10%
  • Develop and validate the deployment approach for a technology solution, including plans for adoption, product sites, training, and communication. 40%
  • Develop and execute deployment communication plans including stakeholder analysis. 5%
  • Manage/execute area of project deployment workplans related to delivery of deployment materials. 5%
  • Manage and complete multiple concurrent assignments, according to standards and templates. 5%
  • Develop risk/issue mitigation strategies, identify and resolve deployment risk in support of quality and risk management processes. 10%
  • Develop and deliver deployment materials to support the successful deployment of EPIC for various audience types, which includes communications, project tracking and checklists, quick reference guides, short videos, and change management materials. 10%
  • Contribute to collaboration within organization to promote deployment activities. Consult with cross- functional teams on deployment approach, strategy, and plans. Promote teaming with other Prisma Health team members working on project. 5%
  • Demonstrate contribution to meeting commitments. 5%
  • Deliver to project scope and requirements, using defined processes, template, and guidance. 5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree- Computer Science, Business Management, Healthcare Management, Project Management or related area of study.
  • 5 years - Professional/client services capacity, emphasizing development/management skills and software deployment

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Familiarity with Epic application and go live planning - Preferred.

    Ability to lead people and project work, and interact with varying levels of management.

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate across many organizational levels and diverse end users.
