We Are Hiring: Lab Medical Courier- Waukesha Memorial Hospital - Pool/As Needed

Schedule Details: The position works as needed by the department. There are no minimum hours guaranteed.Availability is expected to be one weekend per month and two weekday shifts per pay period. Driver may be scheduled more or less than that depending on department need.Lab courier shifts have varying lengths from 5 hours to 7.5 hours, and have varying start times Monday - Friday anywhere between 6:30am and 4:30pm.Driver must have a valid driver's license in good standing.Saturday shifts could be either 12:00 - 5:00pm or 3:00pm to 8:00pmSunday shift is from 12:45pm to 8:00pmOne Holiday shift per year. No PTO, not benefit-eligibleInitial training availability on day shift Mon-Fri is required; additional training may occur on weekends until candidate is prepared to work independently, approximately 12-16 days of training total depending on previous experience.
About Us: ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually.
Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, nursing home, and assisted living facilities. Our Pathologists and PhDs work closely with lab employees to monitor quality, as well as identify, access, and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).
What You Will Do:Provides quality, safe, secure, timely, specialized transportation for laboratory (biological specimens), radiology, pharmacy, HIM (medical records) and mail departments using hospital vehicles for services and medical material transports within a multiple county service area. Must have the ability to work at various PHC Lab locations as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid WI driver's license and in good standing
