**Position Title:** Server
**Location:** Solstice Senior Living at Auburn
**Job Type:** Part Time
**Reports to: Executive Chef
## Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team at Solstice Senior Living. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our residents and guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area while working collaboratively with kitchen staff and management.
## Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet residents and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Answer questions and make recommendations regarding food and beverage selections.
- Take and enter customer orders accurately into the order system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and with attention to detail.
- Manage tables by ensuring proper service flow and customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, comments, and complaints effectively and professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverage items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and clearing tables.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and cleaning assignments.
- Stay informed about menu changes and specials to provide up-to-date information to guests.
## Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Server or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and operate kitchen equipment as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Food Handler's Certification is a plus.
