The position of Director Digital Sales Product Owner will be Remote!

Summary

The Director Digital Sales Product Owner is responsible for determining and overseeing delivery of the strategy and roadmap for sales products to achieve both customer outcomes and organization's financial objectives. Responsibilities include discovery and prioritization of customer and market problems to solve, and validation of potential solutions to those problems. Continuously use data to empower decision making and inform product direction in ways that build toward positive business outcomes for the organization and their customers. Effectively be the “voice of the customer in the product” as well as journey map out the end to end sales experience with business partners. Effectively integrate, motivate and build relationships with and between key members involved with the end-to-end product life cycle. Through ongoing customer interaction and collaboration, guide and support development and operational activities, and provide direction and oversight to product teams.

 

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the business to lead the roll-out of a new customer relationship management (CRM) tool 
  • Discover valuable problems to solve and validate potential solutions with customers and the market
  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations
  • Regularly communicate with product stakeholders and develop strong relationships to surface, balance and prioritize feedback from multiple groups 
  • Design value stream strategy along with key business owners, socialize the product strategy, and ensure a common understanding among internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead product strategy, planning, and life cycle management efforts to support the ongoing evolution and innovation of the product
  • Monitor business, market, and technology trends and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions
  • Establish product roadmaps and release plans that satisfy requirements and achieve customer outcomes
  • Contribute to translating desired business outcomes into actionable product and technical requirements
  • Build a close working relationship and empower the Product Owner to make appropriate decisions relating to product development 
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance to monitor product health and make maintain/refresh/retirement recommendations and decisions
  • Define, track and communicate relevant KPIs for the product to measure performance and contribution to business goals and strategy
  • Proactively support the identification and resolution of blockers to achieve product business objective
  • Collaborate with product marketing and customer success, together with CX/UX leaders, to drive adoption and consumption of product capabilities
  • Manage product investment decision making and the overall financial performance of the product
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree    
  • Graduate Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of product management or related experience
  • Background in retail or wholesale distribution is preferred
  • Experience with implementing CRM (Microsoft Dynamics required) and any other sales related tools
  • Sales & business technology experience
  • Strong experience in researching and understanding both market and customer needs
  • Demonstrated experience incubating and commercializing new ideas

  • Understanding of sales processes and landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate difficult discussions, prioritization of competing interests, managing both strategic and tactical interests

  • Experience of design thinking principles and customer experience design
