Summary

The Director, National Accounts OffPremise, your role is to lead and drive the sales efforts within the OffPremise sector of all OffPremise channels of trade. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for both customers and with suppliers, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with chain accounts, suppliers, RNDC sales leadership and leading a team of sales professionals. Your primary objective will be to achieve revenue targets, increase market share, train, and develop high performing teams and enhance the company's presence in the National Account OffPremise segment.

In this role, you will
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth in the OffPremise sector, including grocery, convenience, warehouse club, liquor, drug, mass merchandiser chains, etc.
  • Set sales targets, create sales forecasts, and monitor performance against objectives. Take proactive measures to address any deviations and ensure the team is on track to meet or exceed goals.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track performance and success in achieving team and organizational goals. 
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to maximize their potential and drive results.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key OffPremise accounts, including national and regional chains, and influential industry partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional campaigns, brand activations, and sales collateral to support the sales efforts in the OffPremise sector.
  • Collaborate closely with category services team to build comprehensive consumer insight selling decks, assortment, and shelf presentations for OffPremiseers. 
  • Collaborate closely with the eCommerce team to develop targeted strategies, promotional & brand activations within OffPremiseer's eCommerce sights to drive digital revenue and share. 
  • Build customer specific supplier OffPremiseer business plans to achieve annual goals and objectives. 
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Analyze sales data, market research, and customer feedback to generate insights and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments such as supplier business development, state level sales, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, build relationships, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop sales budgets, pricing strategies, and sales plans that align with company objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, performance updates, and recommendations to senior leadership.
What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA a plus).  
  • Proven experience in sales management in beverage alcohol industry or 10 or more years related experience, of which 7 or more years managing a team, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Ability to occasionally work evening hours and weekends to support customer and team needs.  
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time and support chains and team members within an assigned sector of business.

Compensation

This compensation information is a good faith estimate and provided in accordance with Washington's state law. Similar positions located outside of this jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation.  The salary generally starts at 152,200.00 up to 217,600.00, and is a combination of base salary plus monthly earned commissions if applicable. The salary is an estimate based on an applicant's skills and experience.
