Essential Job Duties
- Develop strong relationships with key accounts, individual stores, and buyers
- Responsible for managing and selling high end wine portfolio to key accounts of both on and off premise in the state of Alaska.
- Participate in developing the strategic marketing plan to grow RNDC's high-end wine footprint in Alaska
- Present product programs and new products to accounts.
- Conducting consumer events, tastings and wine dinners to introduce and educate target consumers about K&L's fine wine portfolio.
- Understanding of price book with the ability to suggest buying strategies for retailers.
- Develop innovative programs to capitalize on new opportunities.
- Execution of specific account objectives while monitoring overall brand sales for assigned accounts.
- Monthly calls to top 60 account list, with weekly calls and order development on 35-50%.
- Gain market share of wine by the glass and bottle list in on premise; points of distribution, cold box and where applicable display space in off premise
- Train staff on various aspects of wine & sake
- Outer market visits for staff training & ride withs couple times a year (Fairbanks, SE, Kenai)
- Assist with new account presentations.
- Assist and help facilitate successful supplier ride withs.
- Help track critical acclaim and alert sales staff of additional selling tools available (shelf talkers, sell sheets, etc.)
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Wine knowledge and a passion for wine
- Certification from a recognized wine organization (CSW, WSET, Court of Masters) preferred
- Must be organized and efficient at completing administrative tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills required.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Demonstrated intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Good driving record
- Knowledge of beverage industry in Alaska preferred.

Compensation
This compensation information is a good faith estimate and provided in accordance with Alaska state law. Similar positions located outside of this jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation. The salary generally starts at [[salaryMin]] up to [[salaryMid]], and is a combination of base salary plus monthly earned commissions if applicable. The salary is an estimate based on an applicant's skills and experience.
