As a Staff Accountant you will be a part of our dynamic and growing Finance and Accounting team and will be eligible for bonuses, full benefits, 401K match and our Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting, billing and record-keeping for UNITED PACIFIC including all fee operator fuel store locations and house account billing.  The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate record, assisting with month-end close procedures, supporting various departments' accounting needs, and contributing to special projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Assist with monthly closings and preparations of monthly financial statements
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Responsible for recording and reconciling daily fee operator credit cards, management fees, loyalties, and fuel
• Notifies operators and operations supervisors of credit card inquiries including retrieval requests.
• Billing AR statements, rebate invoices and monthly journal entry accruals
• Provide support to client and customer billing inquiries
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
• Thoroughly analyze financial data and identify variances for month end and year end functions
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis during the month end and other projects.
• Check/ACH application for House and Rebate payments

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics required
• 2-3 years of accounting experience required
• Strong attention to detail and analytic skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Intermediated to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as V-look-up, Pivot tables, Sumifs is required
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required
• Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines (e.g. prior companies)
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates ability to work in dynamic and constantly changing company environments
• Engaged in the culture finding efficiencies, utilizing technology
• Able to interact with various levels and functions throughout the organization
