Title: Director, Research Subject Protection

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Research Subject Protection Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Leads activities of the regulatory committees that fulfill the research oversight function and protect the rights and welfare of research subjects and the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park); directs the administrative review process, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations for the protection of research subjects, produces periodic activity reports and ensures overall regulatory compliance; manages the physical and fiscal resources required to provide such services. The starting salary for this position is $145,685 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Doctorate degree or equivalent and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a research/clinical protocol environment or related field with direct experience in protocol compliance procedures including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or

2. Master's degree and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in a research/clinical protocol environment or related field with direct experience in protocol compliance procedures including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or

3. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time experience in a research/clinical protocol environment or related field with direct experience in protocol compliance procedures including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have at least ten years experience in an IRB office analyzing and processing IRB applications including 5 (five) or more years of supervisory experience. Additionally the preferred candidate will have experience overseeing a Human Subject Research Program, experience reviewing and analyzing regulatory documents to ensure compliance with governing law and experience collaborating with research personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
