Title: Environmental Service Worker II (ES Trainer)

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Environmental Services Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: Third Shift (United States of America) Summary: Instructs and coordinates housekeeping functions in a designated area; reports to Leadership on progress of those under their instruction. Demonstrates approved techniques and procedures to newly hired staff or those in need of updated or refresher training in a given technique or skillset. Participates in initial post training competency assessment of newly hired Environmental Services Workers. Participates in a variety of cleaning related tasks in order to maintain cleanliness within Patient Care, post patient care, and all non-patient and public areas; includes the cleansing of sterile areas; performs necessary linen service operations; may operate a small-load truck during the performance of assigned tasks; operates lawn- care equipment and snow removal/distribution equipment as needed; operates various other machinery; performs more complex specialty functions and/or processes as directed.

This is an opening on the 3rd (third) shift. The starting pay for this position is $35,117 - $43,521 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Certification
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician designation (C.H.E.S.T.), an Association for the Healthcare Environment Certificate program through the American Hospital Association.

Education and Experience
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in housekeeping, environmental services or a related field.

NOTE:
Incumbents must obtain and maintain Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician designation (C.H.E.S.T.), an Association for the Healthcare Environment Certificate program through the American Hospital Association, or other comparable certification program recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as appropriate for this title within six (6) months of employment. Renewal of Certification is required every three (3) years thereafter.
