Title: Executive Director, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Pathology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Executive Director, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine makes strategic decisions, in partnership with the Chair, that will support financial ,
operational, and business initiatives in the department. The incumbent will exercise authority for managing operations efficiently and serves
as the primary subject matter expert in developing and/or enhancing policies and procedures as well as be responsible for day-today
operations of areas under his or her supervision for the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The Executive Director will
collaborate with other senior leaders, acting as a thought-leader in the organization, to ensure that the department goals are in-line with the
organization goals and mission. This position reports to the Chair, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and will oversee all Administration as
we continue to enhance and leverage the innovations within the department and impact on the overall organization. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
Recognized licensure, if required, to perform the functions of the position.
Education and Experience
1. Doctoral degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of progressively responsible senior-level experience including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
2. Master's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of progressively responsible senior-level experience including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
3. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of six (6) years of progressively responsible senior-level experience including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
4. Any combination of education/experience/training that demonstrates the ability of the individual to perform executive-level duties and fulfill the responsibilities of the Executive Director. However, all candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and have the equivalent of at least eighteen (18) months' experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; stated in 1, 2, or 3 above.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Leadership experience with a focus on strategic planning, business and fiscal oversite

2. Experience with laboratory efficiencies such as Six Sigma methodology

3. Prior related healthcare management experience and/or and
interaction with senior leadership team members
