Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Nuclear Medicine Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Section of the Division of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Board–Eligible, Residency-trained, full-time Nuclear Medicine physician, commencing July 1, 2025. The candidate should have an interest in clinical research in nuclear oncology and thorough grounding in multi-probe PET/CT and image-guided radionuclide therapy. Innovative approaches to the treatment of malignancy with focus on theranostics will be emphasized. Board Eligibility/Certification in Nuclear Medicine is required. Responsibilities include the teaching of residents, fellows, and graduate students at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Graduate Division of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, University at Buffalo, State University of New York.The Nuclear Medicine Section of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is on the second floor of the main hospital, is state-of-the-art, and is presently staffed by three full-time nuclear medicine physicians. An additional satellite imaging facility including a second PET/CT scanner, and fourth SPECT/CT system was opened September 2023. Roswell Park is committed to developing a premier Theranostics program with recent build out of a dedicated infusion center within Nuclear Medicine to facilitate the expansion of radiopharmaceutical therapies. The nuclear medicine team works collaboratively with surgical and medical oncologists, radiation medicine physicians, and pathologists to provide multidisciplinary care to patients, as well as working with outreach programs intended to increase services in our local community.
Roswell Park is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center (one of only two in New York State) and a State University of New York at Buffalo affiliate, with academic appointments for staff. The oncology center is in the heart of a thriving medical corridor in Buffalo, NY, a city that has undergone major transformation, building on its waterfront on the shores of Lake Erie, with historic architecture, affordable, charming, tree-lined neighborhoods, and proximity to Canada and the Toronto metropolitan area. Additional features include a world-renowned symphony orchestra, superlative art gallery, and dozens of universities and colleges, with national and international connections facilitated through the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
Salary range is $420,000 - $500,000 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

License and Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology or Angio/Interventional Radiology.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, or Angio/Interventional Radiology.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
