Title: Senior Integration Analyst

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Provides leadership and coordinates across multi-disciplinary teams under limited supervision. Leads the design, development, and implementation of healthcare integration solutions, including HL7, FHIR, XML, and X.12 interfaces. Performs advanced systems analysis and makes recommendations requiring a high level of technical competency. Organizes and executes multiple projects from design through implementation. Participates in vendor evaluation, solution design, development, and ongoing system management. Provides technical direction and mentorship to junior staff in system development, integration, and maintenance. Aligns with standard development lifecycle, including task management using enterprise tools, using source version control and producing appropriate documentation. Provides guidance for processes and procedures to standardize HL7 interface development while enhancing maintainability. Has extensive experience in healthcare integration, including HL7 messaging, InterSystems HealthConnect, Ensemble, and HealthShare platforms, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
This role supports the analysis and documentation of existing systems and operations, assists in designing improved processes, and contributes to migration strategies for clinical and business interfaces during enterprise transitions. Responsibilities include maintaining, designing, and deploying HL7, FHIR, XML, and X.12 interfaces using InterSystems HealthConnect, Ensemble, and HealthShare, as well as developing web service interfaces with COS, Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes for CI/CD pipelines. The position involves optimizing legacy systems, supporting Altera eLink and ISS interfaces, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on integrations with AthenaIDX, Altera Sunrise Clinical Manager, Cerner, and other platforms. Additional duties include producing maintainable ObjectScript code for data transformation, interacting with REST APIs and external databases, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and supporting regulatory requirements. The role also encompasses creating documentation for best practices and troubleshooting, preparing prototypes and plans, designing and testing program logic, coding and debugging applications, and providing 24-hour support for system errors. Active participation in team meetings and technology demos, as well as advisory support to IT staff, are integral to this position. Starting salary is $112,528. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Doctorate degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or
2. Master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time software development experience; or
3. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time software development experience; or
4. Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time software development experience; or
5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time software development experience.

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

  • Clinical Applications & Vendors: Altera Sunrise Clinical Manager, AthenaHealth aIDX
  • Tools & Methodologies: Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Git, Gitlab, DevOps CI/CD, Microsoft toolkit (MS Teams, Sharepoint, Planner), ServiceNow, VSCode, InterSystems Studio
  • Additional Skills Desired: Experience developing interactions with Microsoft tools (MS Teams, Sharepoint, etc); Proven ability to leverage AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot; Experience with Epic, Bridges
