Title: Senior Research Specialist

1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Director of the Center for Precision Oncology and Cancer Prevention in the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control is seeking an experienced Senior Research Specialist to provide administrative and managerial support over this translational research program. In this capacity, the proper candidate would have experience developing research protocols, working with the IRB, aiding in developing grant submissions, and executing and analyzing research and experimental endeavors. The candidate will oversee the research protocols in the Center, prepare and submit required compliance documentation, utilize spreadsheets, develop Center databases, ensure and QC data and basically run the Center's research endeavors. Additionally, the candidate will assist in organizing conferences, preparing agendas for visiting speakers/scholars, and engage in other educational and CME activities organized through the Center. Experience with genetic and statistical methods and R, analyzing data, preparing presentations and manuscript development are strongly preferred. Must be extremely organized, with excellent written and verbal skills.

Salary range for this position is $70,795 - $87,457 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. PhD and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or
2. Master's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or
3. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have their Master's degree in health related, genetics/genomics, or epidemiological field, a minimum 4 years experience working in research methodology and study design, is proficient running research protocols, has prior experience with grant writing and submissions, an dis proficient manipulating data and working with research databases.
