Title: Vice Chairperson, Laboratory Medicine

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Laboratory Medicine Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a Vice Chairperson for their division of Laboratory Medicine. In this role, the incumbent will direct the clinical laboratory operations for the division with a focus on development and execution of strategic initiatives within the Department of Pathology.

The successful candidate will oversee the clinical chemistry, hematology, and microbiology sections of the laboratory and will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, directing faculty members within the division of Lab medicine, and to support operational and diagnostic testing enhancements.

A strong academic and leadership background, with experience in both clinical practice and laboratory management is required, as well as eligibility to obtain a certificate of qualification as a CLIA laboratory director in NYS in relevant clinical laboratory categories. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Doctoral Degree (PhD) in an appropriate field with 7 years of experience. Eligibility to obtain a certificate of qualification as a CLIA laboratory director in NYS in relevant clinical laboratory categories (as listed above).

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
