Roush has an immediate need for an enthusiastic Manufacturing Technician Senior to join our team! The Manufacturing Technician Senior will support the Manufacturing Engineering team by supporting programs under the supervision of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. The role will be involved with process flow, work instructions, maintaining capital equipment and other duties in support of various programs. The Manufacturing Technician Senior will create and support continuous improvement activities.  This position is located in Livonia, MI.

As a Manufacturing Technician Senior, you will:

  • Develop and implement process flow and line layout requirements
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective work instructions
  • Maintain capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of the program
  • Facilitate the implementation of production equipment and tooling into the manufacturing facility and corresponding technical training
  • Assess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and manage action items to resolution
  • Support customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate and internal process sign offs
  • Provide training, support and mentoring to junior Manufacturing Technicians
  • Create and support continuous improvement projects

To be considered as a Manufacturing Technician Senior, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing production experience
  • Must be U.S. Person allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee)
  • Knowledge of low volume production manufacturing and assembly.
  • Ability to conduct time studies and workflow analysis
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 processes and procedures
  • Proficient with MS Office with the specific ability to create project plans
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail oriented, work independently and execute plans

A successful Manufacturing Technician Senior candidate may also have:

  • Associate degree in engineering or technical field
