Summary

The Information Security Engineer I will be responsible for all hands on Technical as well as Security Engineering responsibilities in the Mitigation of Risk and Securing Identities and Access to Systems and Data here at Ryder. The Information Security Engineer, Identity & Access Management role lies within the Chief Information Security Officer Office reporting to the Manager of Identity & Access Management, Security Engineering.

Essential Functions

  • Within Information Security and Ryder Business, works with teams to configure business applications and processes for Onboarding and Off boarding Provisioning and Deprovisioning Services for Employees, Contractors, Privilege and Service Accounts. Integration includes Data Sources of Truth such as Active Directory.
  • Responsible for the Build, Implementation, Secure Configuration, and Management of all Identity and Access Management Security Systems-Okta, SailPoint, Duo, Thycotic Secret Server, Azure Identity Management.
  • Responsible for Scripting and Coding for Identity and Access Management Implementations. (C/C++, Java, Python, Powershell, SQL). Scripting and Coding will be where programmatic integration is required i.e. integration requires API's or to provide techniques or Automation to reduce manual or human intervention to improve process
  • Works with teams to integrate applications Authentication/Authorization into Okta for SSO using SAML, OAuth2/OIDC.
  • Provides troubleshooting and L3 Support for all Identity and Access Management Issues or Problem Tickets
  • Responsible for writing and providing Engineering and Deployment Technical documentation for Implementations and Solutions
  • Researches and stays abreast as a contributor to Information Security for all trends and subject areas for Securing Identities, Zero Trust, and Next Generation Solutions for Secure Login, Management of Human and Non-Human Identity, Roles and Entitlements, Cloud, Identity Analytics and Proliferation of Accounts and Passwordless/Biometric Solutions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Hardening of applications including Application Security Reviews
  • Proof of Concept Evaluations and Access Certifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with SailPoint and Okta
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a keen ability to explain complex technical and security concepts to non-technical business stakeholders and management
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
  • An understanding of organizational mission, values, and goals and consistent application of this knowledge (preferred)
  • Solid coding and scripting required Java, C, C++, Python, Powershell intermediate required
  • Security technologies including encryption, data protection, access privileges intermediate required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux systems intermediate preferred
  • Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques beginner preferred
  • Solid coding and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Java) intermediate required
  • Practical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware intermediate required
  • Knowledge of IAM strategy, best practices and design intermediate required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • One (1) year or more experience working directly in Information Security, Identity & Access Management, especially in an engineering role. required
  • One (1) year or more experience working with Okta or SailPoint preferred
  • One (1) year or more programming or scripting. Python, Java, C/C++ preferred
  • Solid coding and scripting required. Java, C, C++, Python, Powershell intermediate required
  • Security technologies including encryption, data protection, access privileges intermediate required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux systems intermediate preferred
  • Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques beginner preferred
  • Solid coding and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Java) intermediate required
  • Practical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware intermediate required
  • Knowledge of IAM strategy, best practices and design intermediate required
  • Information Risk or Security Certification (CISSP, CCSP)
