Summary
The Supervisor Mobile Services (SMS) assists the Manager Mobile Services and/or Sr. Manager Mobile Services with managing the operations and personnel for an assigned area. The SMS will have supervisory duties of employees on a shift, including but not limited to: Maintenance Specialists Leads, Maintenance Specialists I-IV, and Parts Runners. The SMS assists the technicians as needed to develop relationships with clients and vendors. The SMS is responsible for ensuring the customers' needs are being met while balancing financial, operating, quality, safety and asset targets against the requirements of the business. The Supervisor Mobile Services should be cross functionally trained in order to be able to back up others within the shop. This may also be a development position to prepare incumbents for the Manager Mobile Services role.
Essential Functions
- Workflow Management:Responsible for work analysis, planning and scheduling, scheduling and assigning work to Maintenance Specialists, productivity tracking and optimization, shift and shop meetings, and work order review and approvalPerform equipment inspectionsEnsure regular communication with our leaders and facilitate needed resources to meet objectivesEnsures all warranty policies and procedures are executed
- Labor ManagementRecruit and hire MS's to provide quality service to our external customersEnsure all technicians are on-boarded effectively.Provides management, training and development of all personnel assignedResponsible for Performance Management of all assigned personnelResponsible for successful development and execution of the Technical Training Plan in coordination with the Field Training Team. Ensure TOPS plan is prioritized based upon Breakdown, Rework and Running Cost trends
- Customer Management:Monitor interactions with our customers and maintenance specialists to ensure delivery of promised services to maximize satisfaction for our customersResponsible for delivering customer uptime through the effective scheduling of maintenance specialists as well as the consistent monitoring of MS workflow and productivity
- Financial Management:Responsible for implementing cost control measures related to maintenance operations budget and location P&L statement to meet financial objectivesDirectly responsible for successful execution of Maintenance Initiatives to attain or exceed specified financial targetsResponsible for the optimization of net maintenance cost per unitWork with vendor sourcing group to identify potential and preferred vendors for specific vehicle maintenance servicesResponsible for ensuring accuracy of third party invoices and the quality of worked outsourced to vendorsResponsible for Payroll, Purchase Order approval and invoice reconciliation, and fuel reconciliation, all liquid inventories to include fuel, DEF and oilResponsible for the customer bill back process to include identification, review and approval of bill back opportunities Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and explanation/ reporting of re-billable activityResponsible for the Warranty process and maximizing Warranty recovery in the shopEnsure data integrity in the system of recordResponsible for bi-annual inventory audits of all locations under footprint
- Quality Management:Responsible for Quality Inspections of PM & repairs, as well as performing In Process Reviews on non-PM workLead breakdown root cause analysis process, implement corrective actions locally, and when necessary, communicate issues to Technical Assistance CenterMaintain control/visibility over work completed by the MS's to ensure proper root cause diagnosis by technicians and that the yield on all parts/components is optimizedDevelop and ensure implementation of Quality Assurance Audit Corrective Action plans and Continuous Improvement programsAccountable for maintenance of all relevant documentation required to meet and/or exceed local, state, federal, as well as customer requirementsResponsible for ensuring a safe workplace and providing guidance for all safety efforts and initiativesEnsure Cleanliness and quality of repair for all maintained vehiclesComply with Safety, State, and EPA regulations and requirementsConduct monthly safety meetings and training remotely to consistently reinforce Ryder's commitment to safety

Skills and Abilities
- Ability to professionally represent Ryder and competently interact with customer management
- Strong vehicle diagnostics/repair knowledge (preferred)
- Capacity to understand labor, financial and quality planning (preferred)
- Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (preferred)
- Microsoft Office intermediate required
Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- Associate's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement
- 0 to One (1) year Experience with Shop Management Systems preferred
- Microsoft Office intermediate required

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.
Compensation ranges for the position are below:

75000The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
