Job Description :

Summary

The Supervisor Warranty will manage staff and processes that support warranty claim activities. They will implement and follow standard warranty procedures and manage claims process for 50K to 75K claims per year. The incumbent will provide daily/weekly updates and provide departmental reporting as required. The Warranty Supervisor will provide support services for Ryder's vehicle safety campaigns, and vehicle specification support for Ryder & customer owned vehicles. In addition s/he will manage support services for the commercial claim process, including 4-15, additional information and rejected repair keying into the mainframe. They are responsible to ensure the communication of warranty data to OEM's for New Vehicle Warranty while improving processes and increasing warranty credits. They will assist with the development, implementation and update of company required documentation and procedural manuals applicable to warranty. The position will also assist with the warranty portion of the vehicle/component supplier relationship in concert with Ryder Maintenance, Procurement and Training management efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the Claims Processor support processes which includes claims filing, overseeing and ensuring claims reject processing, 4-15 (claims appeals) processing, Additional Information requests for claims processes, and Warranty parts tracking process are completed timely and accurately
  • Manage Warranty Claim staff of up to 10 direct reports, and provide assist with technical knowledge on complex and difficult claims
  • Work with Warranty System team developing and implementing automation in the warranty claims process. Audit claims for proper adjudication, make corrections to claims as necessary, and work with OEMs to identify process improvements for greater warranty collections
  • Special Projects such as, but not limited to, Warranty System Replacement project; Reconciling Ryder campaign data to manufacturer recall data; Asset Management Specification projects; Commercial claim process improvements; Garnering resources and establishing work flow for warranty recovery efforts; Claim input efforts for high volume repetitive claims; and/or other short term special reporting requests for Ryder operations, accounting and financial planning
  • Safety Campaign processes: Manage the process of creating new campaign notifications, loading affected units to the system and clearing units from the campaign as proper repairs are completed. Escalate notification of aged campaigns to the Ryder Field organization. Reconcile Ryder campaign completion status with OE supplier site completion status and validate all requisite claims have been filed

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred Business Administration, Accounting, Business Management or related field
  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Five (5) years or more Management and Supervision experience required
  • Two (2) years or more Fleet, dealer, or OEM vehicle maintenance experience required
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Access advanced required
  • Knowledge of project management techniques (cross-functional experience) intermediate required
  • Intermediate computer skills intermediate required
  • Intermediate computer skillsTechnical understanding of vehicle systems and related components intermediate required

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
